Part of the Slate Island Collection: paintings inspired by trips to the Inner Hebrides islands of Easdale and Seil, off the North West coast of Scotland.

Surrounding the island of Easdale there are flooded quarries and the remains of their slate walls poke up above the water, offering ribbons of rock that jut out into the Atlantic. The walls protect the calm deep pools, while beyond, the Ocean continually rolls and rages. Traces of the Iron Pyrites flashing red and orange can be seen against the blue slate.
